A very special remembrance...

Adalbert Morawitz would have been 90 years old today.  He was born on the 12th April in the small village of Mattersburg in Austria (if you follow the link, you'll see that it was formerly part of Hungary). His family emigrated to South Africa when he was a young man and the rest is a very long story, for another day.

He was a very special man in our lives and had a huge influence on all of us, in so very many ways.  He gave so much of himself to everyone around him and we all have loving memories of this sweet soul who passed on after battling the big C for so many years.

There is never a time that I serve beans, or slice tomatoes or capsicums, or cut into a beautiful butter nut pumpkin without thinking of him!  He grew the most wonderful vegetables; which were always so generously shared with everyone .

Dad / Opa... we see your reflection in our children's eyes, in the shape of their faces, in their quick tempers and generous natures... and we remember you.  With so much love, always.

You were such a huge blessing in our lives and we'll all remember to celebrate your life in some special way today.

What a beautiful way to honour your Dad. I love that you can recognize so many of his traits in your children. We are so blessed to have the wisdom of our parents and grandparents.

My father-in-law... and yes, our dad.

You're so right BB... we are so blessed to have their wisdom.

Big hugs.
