A Pollycraft Christmas Fun reminder...

Hello!  Good morning!  This is just a quick note as I am on my way to pick up my parents from the airport... They have come from NZ to spend Christmas with us here in Greece... their first ever cold Christmas!  I doubt we'll be having a BBQ for Christmas this year!

There's no new challenge at Pollycraft today as we have a special four week long challenge running at the moment with four fabulous prizes!

The challenge theme is Christmas Fun, so show us your Christmas projects!  We love to see all your fabulous creations every week!

Bye for now!

Gratitude

Good morning!  It's time for a new challenge at Little Miss Muffet stamps!  I know I've said it before, but I can't believe how fast the days are flying by at the moment!

Our challenge this week is Gratitude/Thanks

I have made another smaller card this time (11cm x 11cm) and used one of the hats from The Hatters.  When you purchase any of the Hatter Girls, they come with the hat as a separate digi as well which is great for tags or smaller cards!

Here's is my card:

I have followed this week's sketch at Sketch Saturday.

The papers are from October Afternoon and the sentiment is a rub on from Pebbles.  The tag is from Maya Road and the seam binding is from The Ribbon Girl. The hat is coloured with copics (see details below) and I have poked holes with my pergamano pokey tool freehand (for the rustic look) and stitched in the holes.  Other than that I have kept it pretty simple!

Challenges:
Sketch Saturday #182: Sketch
Crafty Creations Challenges: Give Thanks or Gratitude
Little Darlings Challenge #12: Thank You
Going Grey with Scrap Creations: Thank You

Here's a close-up of the hat:

And here are the copics I used:

Have a lovely day!

A splash of blue

Good morning!  Dinner last night went really well at the boss's house.  They loved the NZ lamb shanks... phew!   I was a bit worried as they have told me before that they don't really like the taste of lamb, but I think they really just don't like their lamb rare, so slow cooked lamb shanks was a good solution.

I have a small card to share today that I made for the Do You Stack Up challenge this week which is A Splash of Blue.  This is an 11cm x 11cm card rather than my usual 14.5cm x 14.5cm.

The papers are a mixture from Jilly Bean Soup, Bo Bunny and maybe Echo Park.  The seam binding is from The Ribbon Girl and the button is from my stash.  The sentiment is from LOTV.  This little fairy is a clear stamp from Pergamano and I affectionately think of her as the loo fairy as she really looks like she's sitting on the loo to me.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenge:
Do You Stack Up #46: A Splash of Blue

Here's a close up of the 'loo' fairy:

I coloured this one a while ago and I can't find my photo of the copics I used sorry....

Have a lovely day!

I'm a Tiddly Inker!

Woohoo!  Guess what?!  I made it on to the Tiddly Inks Design Team! {...happy dance...} I'm sooo super excited!  I have been in love with Christy's gorgeous images for ever so long and I'm very excited to be working with such a talented and lovely group of designers!

Here are the team links in case you haven't visited any of these super talented ladies before... You might even be able to spot a few new names on the list!  There's me, Joey, Kindra and Tracy... all newbies.

So today is my first official post for the Tiddly Inkers and it happens to be the start of a two week challenge (#74) with the theme Anything Goes.

I made a card using the sweet Christmas Pixie who I have had sitting around waiting to pop onto a card for ages now.

I followed this sketch from my new teamie Jen and boy was it a hard one!

The papers are from Crate Paper as is the sticker.  I cut the tag with my Slice machine and crocheted the flower.  The charm and button are from my stash.  I added lots of Stickles around the place and did a bit of stitching.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Deconstructing Jen #27: Sketch (a friendly challenge yourself challenge)
The Crafty Pad #148: Festive Cheer (Red, Green, Gold etc...)
2 Sisters Challenge blog #66: Let it Sparkle
Floweret #8: Christmas

Here's a close up:

Unfortunately I forgot to record my copic numbers... sorry.

Have a lovely day all!  I had better get a move on with my food prep for tonight's dinner party!

Ciao!

Thank you

Hello!  It's Tuesday!  Yes, I'm sure you knew that already, but I just have to remind myself sometimes.  Tonight I am cooking at the boss's house for a manly dinner... want to know what they are having?

Well I'll tell you anyway...

For nibbles they will have mini leek and mushroom tarts and crostini with smoked salmon, cream cheese and lime and crostini with sugar cured beef, goat's cheese and red onion relish.
For a starter they are having peking duck pancakes
For their main course they are having slow cooked lamb shanks served with creamy truffle mashed potato and a medley of roasted vegetables
For their dessert they are having individual pavlovas with fresh fruit, whipped cream and icecream.

Now, on to more crafty things.  Sadly today is my last day as a design team member for Karber Digital stamps.  I have really enjoyed playing with their fun and super cute images and I'm definitely going to get a lot of use out them.

I hope you get a chance to check out the Karber Digital blog.  I love my teamie Kelly's cards!

Here is my last card for Karber Digital... sniff sniff...

This image is a slightly different style from the other ones I chose to work with, but I really like it.  It's a quick and easy colour and is great for an any occasion card.  The image is called Birds.  The papers are a mixture from my stash, but I can spot Bo Bunny and Crate Paper in there.  I coloured the image with copics and inked the edges with Distress inks, first in yellow and then in green.  The sentiment is a rub on from Pebbles and the tag is cut with my Slice machine.  The layout was inspired by the November SFYTT from I{heart}2stamp.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
I{heart}2stamp: November SFYTT
House of Gilli #21: Flourishes
iCopic Lover #57: Thanksgiving

Sssssorry.....

If you are interested in my wee thank you giveaway for Followers, click HERE.

Hi There!  I forgot to post my New Release post this morning for Little Miss Muffet stamps! We have four new releases to showcase this week.  Today we have two from the Animal Friends collection and tomorrow there will be two Little Miss girls to share. Head on over to the Little Miss Muffet challenge blog to check out the beautiful creations from the DT.

For my card today I decided to use Echo the Snake.  He comes with and without the gift wrapping bow.

The papers I used are mostly from Echo Park and the Snake card is from My Mind's Eye.  I coloured Echo with copics (see details below) and I added a Googly eye to soften his look a bit as the actual digi drawing is quite realistic.

A wee thank you giveaway for Followers

Hello!  It's me!  I have been thinking for a while about having some giveaways.  So far I have only organised the most important one which is for Followers...    So if you are a Follower of this blog, keep reading!

When April Blackbird and I started this blog a year or so ago we didn't have much of a clue what we were doing and somehow as we have bumbled along we seem to have collected a few people along the way who actually read our posts!  I find this totally amazing and I am very thankful to have met such lovely people in blogland!

So to show my appreciation I wanted to have a special giveaway...  I crocheted 20 of my wee flowers (10 different colours, 2 of each colour).  The flowers are roughly 3cm across and are made from bamboo cotton and crocheted with love!    I will also include a 6x6 paper pad from Crate Paper just for fun...

Here's a picture:

So, if you are a Follower, all you have to do to get your name into the draw is leave a comment on this post!  I will keep this open until November 23rd.

Have a lovely Wednesday!

Christmas Wishes

Good morning!  It's another chilly grey morning here.... winter is definitely here in Athens already!  I'm sure I remember our previous Novembers being much milder than this!

I have another cute Karber digital stamp to share with you today.  This one is called Elf Gift.  Head over to the Karber blog to check out Kelly's fabulous card for today... I just love the sentiment she used!

Here's my card (using the November sketch at I{heart}2stamp):

The papers are all from Crate Paper (as is the button).  The seam binding ribbon is from The Ribbon Girl and the sentiment is from LOTV.  I coloured the wee elf with copics (see details below).  Once again I had the hardest time colouring the reds!  I got too much of the dark red in the shadows on the pants and it kept smearing into the lighter areas, so now there is not much light differentiation.  Oh well...

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
I{heart}2stamp: November Sketch
Cards for men #23: Christmas cards
Crafty Boots: Fantasy

Here is the usual close-up:

And here are the copics I used:

Good morning!  It's Monday again... time for a new challenge at Pollycraft!  There were some lovely entries into the sketch challenge last week!

Our sponsor this week is Quixotic Paperie and they are offering the winner a 10 voucher to their store!

For my card, I decided to use Blossoming Friendship from the Spring Things collection:
The papers are from October Afternoon and the sentiment is from Inkadinkado.  The flourishes are from Maya Rd and the seam binding ribbon is from The Ribbon Girl.  The crochet flower is one I made.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
