Sweet Pea Stamp Off Round 2

Voting has started for Round 2 of the Sweet Pea Stamp Off.  There are some amazing entries!  Please take a few seconds to go here and vote and be inspired!  The challenge was to make an over the top Fancy Fold card where the card is the gift.

This is my entry:

This fold is called a Triangle Tri Fold card and I got the tutorial from here.  This stamp is one that I won in a giveaway from Angela from In My Quiet Time.  The papers are from October Afternoon and the three little bells on the front I got in a haberdashery store in Prague.  The seam binding ribbon is from The Ribbon Girl.  On the inside of the card, I have wiped away some of the image to make it less angular before stamping it with Distress Inks in Antique Linen, then I have masked the edges of the card and misted over it with Tattered Angels Shimmer Mists in Gold and Blue - it's a bit hard to see in the photos, but it has a lovely shimmery effect.  The sentiment is made with Doodlebug rub ons.

The image is coloured with copics.

And we are just now coming into port in Imperia Italy.  There is a fair bit of snow on the mountains above, so it could be quite cold here!

Toot toot!

I'm just stopping by to announce some exciting (for me anyway) news!  I just made the design team for April May for Little Miss Muffet Stamps!  Thank you so much for choosing me Barbara and Peggy!

Barbara makes gorgeous digis (like this cow jumping over the moon)... check them out here.

And in other news, I'm on to round two for the Sweet Pea Stampoff.  If you voted for me in round one, thank you very much!  I'm working on my round two entry now... Hopefully I can get it done before the weekend as we are leaving on the boat to go to Italy, so I will be unable to do much crafting for a few days.  Voting for the next round starts March 23.

This was my round one entry:

This is one of the stamps that Angela from In My Quiet Time sent me (thank you Angela!!!).  Isn't this dryad gorgeous?!   The papers are from Bo Bunny and Cosmo Cricket and the ribbon is from The Ribbon Girl.  I have added stickles to the peacock feathers.

These are the copics I used:

AND if that's not enough...  I just found out I won the this blog candy at In Rosie's Book!!!! Wow!  Lucky, lucky me!!!  That just made my day!

Have a lovely day!

Sweet Pea Fairie

Remember when I said I won some stamps from Angela from In My Quiet Time recently?  Well I finally got a chance to colour a couple of them up and make some cards with them!  This is my first card and I thought I would enter it into the Sweet Pea Challenge for cards that are inspired by warmer weather (not that it is here... we even had snow today!).

The papers are from October Afternoon and Echo Park and the ribbon is from The Ribbon Girl.  The image is coloured with copics (see below).  I really enjoyed colouring this one!  Thanks Angela!

Here is a close up:

Beautiful card in the mail!

I got home last night to find my parcel from Angela at In My Quiet Time had arrived.  I was lucky enough to be drawn to win 5 rubber stamps from Sweet Pea Stamps on her blog recently.  Yay me!

Angela makes the most beautiful cards and her colouring is amazing.  Well, I was so excited to see she had included one of her beautiful cards for me!    Here it is here...

How beautiful is that?!  Thanks so much Angela!  I can't wait to ink up my new stamps and get creating too.  I just have to wait for a bigger stamping block to arrive, so maybe by the end of next week I will have some cards to show with my new stamps.

I am also waiting for more double sided tape to arrive at the moment, so my card making has stalled, but I am doing  lots of colouring!
