Another baby card!

BB and I spent a very long day driving to France and back and provisioning the boat yesterday... I don't know about her, but I am totally exhausted and I still have to put most of the groceries away!

Anyway, on to my card... I think I mentioned a while ago that when I was home on holiday my friend needed some baby cards as heaps of her friends are having babies at the moment.  Here's another one I made for her:

I love this image by Mo Manning.  It's called Sumpin's Wrong and can be purchased here.  The image is coloured with copics (see details below) and cut out with Spellbinders Nesties on the Cuttlebug.  I inked the background while the image was still in the die.  The papers are from October Afternoon and the ribbon is from my stash.  The sentiment letter stickers are by Fynmark (purchased at my local craft store while I was home in NZ).

Here's a closeup:

A little bit of Attitude

The challenge this week at Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge Blog is "Show me some attitude".  Mo's images are perfect for this challenge as they really have a lot of attitude!  Do go and have a look at the DT's cards... they are very cute.

Here is my take:

The image is called 'Anna in Time Out' by Mo Manning.  The papers are from October Afternoon and Echo Park and the ribbon is from my stash.  The image is coloured with copics (see below).  I hand stitched around the framing with embroidery floss.  I can't imagine why my husband wouldn't let me bring the sewing machine to Italy on the boat?!  Perhaps it could be to do with having to fly it home again if the boat sells...

Here are the copics I used:

Happy Tuesday!  (I just realised I have gained a day as I thought it was Tuesday yesterday)

Oh Baby!

I have quite a few more cards to post today... so I had better get started!  This first one is for the Mo Manning Digital Pencil 2 Challenge (number 72) which is Oh Baby.  Mo Manning draws the most beautiful babies and toddlers around, so it's always a pleasure to colour one of her images.

I wasn't very happy with my colour choices for this one when I originally coloured it as it looked a bit bland, but I went over the cardigan with blue greens to brighten it up a bit and I think it looks better now.

The papers are from October Afternoon.  The seam binding is from The Ribbon Girl and the sentiment is cobbled together from the Critters and Cogs sentiment set by Pollycraft.  The image is coloured with copics (unfortunately I didnt keep a record of the numbers).

Happy Tuesday!

Bon Voyage BB and DP2 Challenge

Today I spent a delightful hour playing and laughing with BB's gorgeous wee boy while BB and her hubby packed the car and closed the house up. I dropped the BB family at the airport this afternoon and bid them farewell for a couple of months.  It will be awfully quiet around here without them!

Today's card is for the Mo Manning challenge number 70.  Here is the sketch...

And here is my card...

I have rotated the sketch and flipped it.   This gorgeous wee boy is called "Hanging the Star" and can be purchased here.   I just love Mo's beautiful images.  The papers are from October Afternoon and the sentiment is from Lili of the Valley.

I added Glossy Accents to the star and Distress Inks around the frame (Tumbled Glass and Antique Linen).  The flowers are from Prima.  I used copics to colour the image (see below).

Mo Manning Challenge #64

I wanted to make a card for a friend of ours who is about to undergo surgery.  He loves his motorbike so I had a hunt around for a bike image to use on his card... I came across this really cute image of a little boy on his trike by Mo Manning that I thought would be cool and the reckless looking little boy reminds me of our friend, or at least how I picture he would have been like when he was a little boy.

I found the image was really hard to colour as it has so much detail!  I used the following copics...

I hope he likes it!  The inside reads:  "You'll be back on your bike in no time!"

I am going to enter this into the current challenge at Mo's Challenge Blog which is retro... The retro papers I used for this card are from October Afternoon and Cosmo Cricket.
