Fairy Wishes

I'm back with another Tiddly Inks image today ... Willow fairy, and it just so happens that the latest challenge on the Tiddly Inks blog is Fairy Fun!  Yay!

Here's my card using one of the adorable new fairies... Willow the Greeting Fairy :)

I love these new fairies of Christy's, just wish I had more time in the day to get them onto cards!

Fun times...

I whipped up a quick card last night so I could join in the fun over at the Tiddly Inks blog with the open blog hop.  I hope I have the time conversion right as it starts at 12pm CST (which I think is 7pm here).

How cute is this image?  This cutie is called Going Swimming... I just love Christy's style of drawing.  Unfortunately my photos are a bit dark, but you get the idea I hope.  The papers are from October Afternoon and Crate Paper and the sentiment is from The Greeting Farm.   I have coloured the image with copics (see below) and added Glossy Accents to her goggles and to the water.  The circle in the background is cut with my new Slice machine (LOVE it!!!).

The luck of the Irish

Are the Irish really lucky people?   I've always wondered... or maybe because they believe they are, they are...

This week's challenge at the Tiddly Inks Challenge blog was another hard one and I have to confess that I wasn't going to enter it, but it would be rude not to wouldn't it?  Especially since I was the lucky winner last week.

This week, there were two options, either a St Patrick's Day/Green/Luck theme or an environmental Earth day theme...  Green is definitely not my favourite colour, so once again I struggled with this one... don't you just love challenges that actually challenge you though?!

I decided to use Donna once again (Donna and Belinda definitely seem to be my favourites) and I altered her a little by drawing a bunch of four leaf clovers and sticking them over the frog she was holding in her hand.

This image was coloured up before I started recording my copic numbers.  The papers are from October Afternoon and Bo Bunny and the ribbon is from The Ribbon Girl.

And in other news, we have started our 1000 or so mile boat journey to Imperia in Italy.  We are hoping to average around 20 - 25 knots and stop in Naples (and hopefully Elba) along the way.  So no crafting for me for the next few days, but luckily I have a stockpile of cards to post!  For those friends and family members that know how, we have our AIS tracking turned on, so you can track our progress on http://www.marinetraffic.com/ais/ or the Google version (http://www.vesseltracker.com/en/Googleearth.html).

Kraft paper challenge

The challenge this week at the Tiddly Inks Challenge blog is to use Kraft coloured cardstock on our cards.  I'm not that fond of Kraft coloured cardstock, so this challenge was difficult for me.

Here's what I came up with:

This gorgeous wee girl is called Donna from Tiddly Inks  and I think she was the first Donna image that Christy drew.  I have mounted her on Kraft cardstock and added tiny purple staples to the framing and Hero Hues pearls.  The design papers are from Cosmo Cricket and October Afternoon and the ribbon is from The Ribbon Girl.  Donna is coloured with copics (details below) and I have added glossy accents to her umbrella and her boots.  I really love the Donna and Belinda characters from Tiddly Inks... they are so sweet.  The sentiment is another one from the super versatile Sonny Honeycloud - Sonny Says set from Pollycraft.

My first shaker card!

This week's challenge at the Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog was to make a shaker card... another first for me!  Unfortunately on the day I went down to our little village craft shop to see what I could find to put inside the card the whole town was on strike (only in Greece)!  So I had to make do with some seed beads that I had on hand.  They actually turned out to be okay though as they do make quite a satisfying rattle.

The image is called Donna's Adventure from Tiddly Inks and the papers are from October Afternoon and Bo Bunny.  The ribbon is from the Ribbon Girl and the sentiment is from Lili of the Valley.  I used copics to colour the image (see below).

It is a horrible windy grey day here... I hope it's nicer where you are.

Shine and Bling

This week there seem to be a few challenge blogs running with the shine and/or bling theme.  I made a card a few weeks ago for a Mojo Monday sketch challenge, but didn't get it posted in time, so I have added bling and shine to it and I'm going to enter it into the following challenges:

The image is Annie from Tiddly Inks and the papers are from October Afternoon.  I have added Stickles to the heart, and as a frame around the image and the sentiment and I have added Glossy Accents to the heart (over the Stickles) and to the centre of the flower.  Annie is coloured with copics (see below for details).  The lovely satin ribbon is from The Ribbon Girl.

Happy Robot

I love this little robot from Tiddly Inks... he's just so sweet.  I especially love his square balloons!  I think he would be good for a boy (big or little) birthday card ...

I followed the sketch below from Friday Sketchers Challenge 141, and I really enjoyed the sketch... I was a little bit apprehensive about the circles, but my lovely husband offered to cut them out for me by hand, and he did a much better job of them than I do!  I wish I had my Cuttlebug and Spellbinders here, but sadly at some point we will have to get all our accumulated 'stuff' home to NZ from Greece, so it's just not worth it.

The papers are from Bo Bunny, Cosmo Cricket and maybe My Mind's Eye...  I blanket stitched around the circle by hand and added Glossy Accents to the balloons.  The lettering is rub ons by Doodlebug Designs.
