Fairies and Flowers

I'm just popping in quickly to post a card I made on the weekend for the Emerald Fairies current challenge which is Petals (include flowers or petals somewhere on your creation).

I based the card on a sketch, but I can't find it right now, so I will have to update this post later with the sketch details.  Watch this space...

UPDATE:  I found it!  It's Create4fun challenges.

Here is my card:

This is one of the Emerald Fairies... her name is Ebony.  I think she's one of my favourites.  The papers are from My Mind's Eye, Cosmo Cricket and Crate Paper.  I have coloured Ebony with copics (see details below) and the flowers are from Prima. The ribbon is from The Ribbon Girl.  I have added clear Stickles to Ebony's wings.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Emerald Fairies challenge #3 - Petals
Hooked on Craft Challenges - Challenge #2: Flowers
Create4fun Challenges - June Challenge Sketch

Sparkles!

I had a few things to do yesterday, so unfortunately I couldn't spend the whole day in front of the TV watching NCIS and Babylon 5 and crafting, but I did make a couple of cards.  This one is for the Sparkle and Shine challenge at Simon Says Stamp and I used another of the gorgeous Emerald Faeries so it also fits nicely into the Magical World challenge at Sir Stampalot this month and as a second entry into the first Emerald Faeries challenge!

The image (Ally) is coloured with copics (see details below) and I have added Stickles to her wings and to the flower.  I have then added Glossy Accents over the Stickles on her wings so the glitter doesn't shed and also to the ladybug.

The papers are from Crate Paper and October Afternoon.  The label sticker is from Crate Paper and I have used Doodlebug rub ons for the sentiment.  The ribbon is from The Ribbon Girl.

Here is a close up of Ally:

I have really been struggling with the lighting for photos on the boat... One would think that with all that white space the photos would come out beautifully lit, but no... sadly they always seem to be in shadow from somewhere.  Oh well, soon enough we will be back in Greece and back in our little apartment and I can get my photos back to normal!

Here are the copics I used:

Fire fighting went well today...  we tested our breathing apparatus and did some searches in the fire fighting area in the dark.  Summer has definitely arrived here in the South of France though... it was sooo hot!

Happy Monday!

Faeries!

I LOVE the Emerald Faeries available in Deb's shop here.  If I could draw, I think that is what I would draw...  I had this one coloured up from a few months ago when I first purchased some of these faeries, so I thought I would use it for this month's sketch at I{heart}2stamp.

Here is the sketch:

The papers are from October Afternoon and I think the black one is from My Mind's Eye.  The shapes are cut using the Slice Machine.  The image is coloured with copics (see details below) and I have added Stickles to the wings.  The sentiment is from Amy R's Summer Sentiments.

I would also like to enter this card into the first Emerald Faerie Garden Challenge which is Anything Goes and as my second entry into the current Dutch Dare Card Challenge (Winged Things).

Here is a close-up of the image:
