Hey Kaylee!

If you are interested in my 100 Follower Thank You blog candy, please click HERE.

Good morning!  It's a beautiful Saturday morning, but unfortunately we are at work in the dirty noisy boat yard.  I can't wait until Wednesday when we go back in the water and back to our marina!  I'm having a wee coffee break (black, no sugar as per diet restrictions) and I thought I would post a card I made this week using the brand new Hey Kaylee set that I was so super lucky to win recently on the Some Odd Girl New Release blog hop!

I'm joining in the current Some Odd Girl challenge which is a colour challenge using these lovely colours:

Here's my card:

Isn't she purrty?  The papers I have used are from Crate Paper and a couple of other companies.  The ribbon is from The Ribbon Girl and the button is from Blooming Felt.  The swirly chipboard embellies are from Make it Crafty and the brad is from My Mind's Eye (I think).  The brown crystals are by Prima.  I fussy cut Kaylee without a white outline for a change and I quite like the look.  I have these super sharp curved nail scissors that I use for fussy cutting and I love them.  I'll post a picture of them later.

Here's a close-up of Kaylee and her Mushie friends:

And here are the copics I used:

Happy Saturday !

Just Sitting Here...

If you are interested in my 100 Follower Thank You blog candy, please click HERE.

Hello again!  This is my second post of the day.   Please scroll down to see my Pick Up Sticks card from Day 4 of releases at Tiddly Inks.  The thing is, I just realised that I hadn't posted one of my Tiddly Inks cards from Day 1 of the release party!

This card is made using Wryn - Picture Perfect:

The papers are from Bo Bunny, Crate Paper and My Mind's Eye.  I cut the oval with my Slice machine and made the sentiment with Doodlebug rub on alphas.  The lace is from a lovely little vintage fabric and lace shop I found in Sydney.  I followed this week's sketch at Sketch Saturday. Wryn is coloured with copics (see below).

Here's a close-up:

I would like to enter this card into the Sketch Saturday challenge #201.

I'll be back later or maybe tomorrow with my card for the current colour challenge running over at Some Odd Girl.

Ciao!

Happy Hearts at Tiddly Inks!

If you are interested in my 100 Follower Thank You blog candy, please click HERE.

Hi Guys!  So sorry this is s little bit late!  My lovely husband took me out for a birthday dinner last night and I totally forgot to schedule my post!

We are on to day two of celebrations and releases over at Tiddly Inks in our 2nd anniversary celebration and today I have a frame for you download, but first let me show you my card using Wryn Happy Heart, Wryn's Tree (currently a freebie) and my frame (you can download that at the bottom of my post).

I used Christy's PNG files again and put the tree inside the frame with Wryn just in front of it (all in Word with the images set to 'Text Wrapping - Tight' so I could move them around).    I coloured the scene with copics (see details below) and added Gold Stickles to the detail on the frame.  I drew the clouds in with copics as well.

The papers are a mixture from my stash, the ribbon is from The Ribbon Girl and the heart embellishments are actually staples from my new magnetic Pin It tool (see my post here).

Here's a close-up of Wryn Happy Heart:

And here are the copics I used:

And finally here is my frame for you to download!  Hopefully if you just left click on it to enlarge it, you should be able to right click and save it to your computer.  If it doesn't work, please let me know in the comments.

Challenges:
Crazy Amigo Challenge: Free Theme/Anything Goes
Papertake Weekly: Anything Goes
Twisted Tuesday Challenges: Clouds (not stamped)

Have a lovely day!

Party Time at Tiddly Inks!

If you are interested in my 100 Follower Thank You blog candy, please click HERE.

Woohoo!  The day is finally here!  Welcome to the partttaaaaay!  Tiddly Inks is turning two at the end of this month and so we thought we would kick off a bit early with a month-long party and a week of releases.

There are lots of new releases and freebies and even a discount in store!  Head over to Christy's blog to get the full details and see the first of the new releases!

Our theme for this release is "Frame the Moment"---life's moments pass too quickly, and our handmade cards and scrapbook pages let those around us know we took that moment to think of them. :)  With that in mind, we DT girls have designed some freebie frames for you.  Check out the birthday celebrations every day this week and find the link to get your freebie frames!

Here's a summary of what is going to be happening this week:
  1. New images (and old ones too)
  2. Free frames/accent pieces from the DT
  3. Free images from Christy
  4. Prizes for those who comment
  5. And best of all, special guests on the Challenge blog
Phew!  There's so much going on this week, you REALLY need to head over to Christy's blog to get the full details so you don't miss out on anything!

Here's my first Tiddly Inks card of the week using Wryn - Fairy Wishes and one of Christy's quirky frames:

Isn't she adorable!  I have to admit I let out a tiny squeee when I saw her for the first time!    A Wyrn Fairy!  How perfect!!!

I have superimposed Wryn - Fairy Wishes over the frame in Word using the png files and bringing Wryn to the front.  I printed the sentiment in Word as well.  To make the frame she is stepping out of seem more real, I doodled a picture into the painting behind Wryn very lightly with a pencil before colouring it in with copics.

The papers I have used here are a mixture from my stash.  The seam binding ribbon and twine are from the ribbon girl and the charm is from The Secret Garden on Da Wanda.  The little crystal is from a bead shop.  The flourishes are from Make it Crafty.

Here's a close-up shot:

And here are the copics I used:

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Make it Monday: Linky Party #83
Tammy's Scrapin Corner: Anything Goes plus inspiration colour in card
Crafting When we Can: Things with Wings

Okay, that's it from me!  I really hope you can join in the fun this week!

Our wonderful sponsor this week is My Mum's Craft shop who are offering the winner a £10 gift voucher to spend in store!

Here's my card using Barclay - At Sea

He's so cute!  I have coloured Barclay with copics (see photo below) and added glossy accents to his eyes, nose and teeth and Stickles to the water.  The papers are from Crate Paper and October Afternoon and the alpha stickers and Travel the World sticker are also from October Afternoon.  The ribbon is from The Ribbon Girl and the brad is from my stash.

Here's a close-up of the image:

I used to make my clouds with Distress Inks, a stencil and a sponge, but lately I find I have more control and get a better result if I just draw them in freehand with copics.

Here are the copics I used for the image:

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
The order of the Opus Gluei: Animals/weather
CES Challenges: No Girls Allowed (Male cards)
