Good morning! No card today, sorry. I've been busy working on some cards for next week's big anniversary celebrations at Tiddly Inks! You heard about that right?
Of course you did! And don't forget there's still time to answer the three Trivia questions about our lovely leader Christy Croll over on the Tiddly Inks Challenge blog to be entered to win one of 5 gift vouchers! I think you might find some hints over on the Facebook page.
Anyway, I thought I might give you a peek at my 'temporary' craft desk today... It's a bit messy, but that's how crafting is right?
I say temporary because we are not living in Greece permanently (we only intended to stay 1 year... this is now our fourth year!) and we are renting, so I don't have any permanent fixtures. I have lots of ideas for when we move back to NZ and have our own house again (and of course a lot more stuff to fit in it... half of my supplies are still in NZ)!
So on the left of the Ikea desk is my pen, pencil and scissor holder. Next to it under the shelf are my copics, stored in those faux leather boxes from Ikea (I'll show you a better pic later). Then my Slice Elite, twine and charms behind it, 6 x 6 and 8 x 8 paper pads, and finally my laptop. My Fiskars paper trimmer is underneath the desk on that wee table as are my large scraps sorted into folders by colours.
On top of the shelf on the left is a box of Prima swirly bling, then a box of Maya Rd and Tim Holtz and Make it Crafty embellies, then a box of stamps, then on those cute little (very cheap) Ikea shelves (I think they are for mugs in your pantry) are my Distress inks, Stickles, buttons etc... Next to the shelves are three super cute felt containers custom made by the lovely Emma at Sew Sweet (you get to choose colour and applique). I use these to store my smaller scraps in colour order (warms, neutrals and colds). Next to that are more boxes of embellishments (pearls, bling, journalling cards, punches etc...) and bit and pieces.
Over on the far right is my TV and DVD player with headphones. My husband and I both use this room to sit at our desks. He plays computer games with his headphones and I semi-watch TV series while I am crafting.
Here's a closer pic of my copic storage:
It's not ideal, but the boxes are portable, so I can take them downstairs to colour in front of a movie with my husband when I want to. I have separated the colour groups with empty CD cases.
Anyway, that's it from me for today!
See you later!

Morning Arabella, very nice craft area! I do so wish I had somewhere I could leave my stuff out instead of having to put it all away every day!
And that we had a dining room that wasn't covered in boxes of my craft things!!
Looks like you've a got a few Copics then!! Like I am with my Promarkers, but you are much more organised!!
Hope you have a lovely weekend.
Sarah
Awesome craft space. I'm in my family room, so I can still supervise kids and craft at the same time. Nice copics. I'm hoping to get the spectrum noir markers very soon and start working on my coloring skills. Thanks for sharing you neat space with us.

That stinks that you have to rent, I would go nuts if I couldn't do half of the things I have in my craft room! I am forever searching for the perfect Copic storage! I have something similar to you now, but I want something to hold each marker in place, that way I can put them in number order!! TFS!
Ooooh, I love your craft area Arabella...it's so organized and everything is in easy reach! TFS!
