Boys will be boys

Hello! Good afternoon!  Well you would think I would have learned from my last expedition to Ikea on a Saturday, but no... I just had to go back today.  Actually it was not quite as bad as the last one, but I think that is because I went to a different store... it was still a madhouse though and definitely not advisable.

Anyway, enough about shopping... I wanted to stop by to share a card I made for the current Boys will be boys challenge at Tiddly Inks this week.  I had a quick look through my images to find something suitable and (shock horror) there were a few that had never even been printed yet!  I chose to use Geekatude because I thought he looked like a real boys boy.

I'm still struggling to find a good place in our new house to take photos without casting a shadow on them... I think I need to keep looking.

Here's my card:

I tried to follow this week's sketch from Dutch Dare Card Challenges, but I'm not sure how well I succeeded...The papers I used are from October Afternoon and Crate Paper and the ribbon is from The Ribbon Girl.  The Play sticker is from Crate Paper and I have coloured the image with copics (see details below).

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Tiddly Inks Challenge #68: Boys will be boys
Carisma Cardz Challenge #41: In stitches (real or faux)
Southern Girls Challenge #29: Slugs and snails and puppy dog tails

Sweet Fairy...

Good morning!  Last night I had some free time and I made a couple of cards for some challenges.  I must be slow though as it took me about 5 hours just to make 2 cards!

I just got my new Sugar Nellie Fairy stamps from Funky Kits this week and I had to ink one of them up, especially when I saw Joey's gorgeous card!  I had a quick look at the challenge blogs and decided to use the sketch from The Sugar Bowl this week and my favourite copic colour combos for the Mad for Markers challenge.

Here's my card:

The papers are from Crate Paper and October Afternoon and I have coloured the image with copics (see details below).  I have added Stickles to her wings and to the snow flakes.  The ribbon is from The Ribbon Girl and the charm is from The Secret Garden on Da Wanda.  The pearly blingy swirls are by Prima and the sentiment is from Lili of the Valley.

My favourite copic colour combos are the ones I have used here:
Reds: R30, 35, 37, 39 (I also love the 'Christmas red' combo of R21, 22, 24, 29 and 89)
Blue Greens: BG0000, 10, 53, 45, 49
Yellows: Y000, Y00, 11, 17
Blonde hair: YR30, YR31, Y28 plus I think I added a touch of YR24
Skin: E0000, E000, E00 and R20

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
The Sugar Bowl: Sketch #69 (I don't really like green so I had to pass on the optional theme)
Mad for Markers Monthly Challenge: Favourite copic colour combo

Here are the copics I used:

Gotta run... work is starting now!

Challenge #20 at Little Miss Muffet stamps

Good morning!  It's time for a new challenge at Little Miss Muffet stamps!

We have a fabulously easy challenge for you this round... it's Girly Girl!  Think pink, lace, frills, flowers... whatever says girly to you...

Here is my card featuring one of my favourites... Iris May Hatter:

I have followed the October Sketch from I{heart}2stamp.  The papers are from Craftwork Cards and Webster's Pages (I think) and the ribbon and lace is from The Ribbon Girl.  The swirly bling is by Prima and I have coloured Iris May Hatter with copics, but unfortunatly I forgot to record the numbers... from memory I think I used the BG70's for the dress and RV80's for the hat, purse and shoes.  The hat band, colour and frill are done with E50's and her hair is done with Y20's and Y000.

We would love it if you could join us this week... and if Girly Girl is not your thing, then you can enter the challenge anyway using any Little Miss Muffet stamps image.  If you choose to do this, then the theme is Anything Goes.  Head on over to the challenge blog to check out the fabulous inspiration from the Design Team ladies.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
I{heart}2stamp: October SFYTT
Top Tip Tuesday: Use Designer Papers
Ribbon Carousel Challenge: Sparkle and bling
Tuesday Throwdown Challenge #70: Think Pink

Have a lovely Thursday!

Flutterbyes and Teddy Bears

Hello!  It's Wednesday evening here and I just wanted to stop by to share a card I made for this week's Sketch Saturday Sketch challenge (number 176).  I think this is the first card I have made in a while that is not a design team commitment!  I really must be getting on top of things!

Here is the sketch:

And here is my card:

The papers I have used are from Echo Park and My Mind's Eye.  I can't remember where the image is from now as it is one I stamped last time I was home in NZ and I didn't bring the actual stamp back to Greece with me (saving weight...).  The sentiment is from Lili of the Valley and the seam binding is from the Ribbon Girl.  The charm is from Da Wanda and the swirly bling is by Prima.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Sketch Saturday #176: Sketch
Anything Goes Challenges #51: Diecuts or punches (Diecut image using my Spellbinders)

Here are the copics I used:

Karber Digital - Moon Love

Good morning!  It's a somewhat cold morning here in Athens... 14 degrees C when we got up!  It's almost like a switch has been flipped and summer is all over.  Yesterday we even had hail!

Anyway, this is a quick post from me... I thought we had a day off work today, but I thought wrong it seems.

This week for my Karber Digital card, I decided to use one of the beautiful Silhouette images.  This one is called
Moon Love.

Here's my card:

I have inked the background with two different Distress Ink blues and distressed the edges of the circle.  The papers are from My Mind's Eye, October Afternoon and Cosmo Cricket (and one other... not sure who).  The tag is cut with my Slice Elite and the charm is from Da Wanda.  The ribbon is from The Ribbon Girl.

That's all from me for right now...

Have a lovely day!

In the Naughty Corner....

Hello!  I've put myself in the naughty corner today because I'm super late posting my Karber Digital card for this week and I'm going to be late getting my card for Little Miss Muffet stamps new releases ready too!  I think my mojo must be packed up in a box still in our study/craft area... hopefully I will unpack it tonight!

I can't believe how long it takes to fit lights and curtain rails and assemble Ikea furniture!  Not to mention the dreaded actual shopping at Ikea!  I must admit though I was very impressed with their delivery service (when there is no strike action on in Greece).  We shopped on Monday evening (which was a great time to go there... not too busy) and the big stuff we bought was delivered to our front door and into our elevator the very next day!  Anyway, our house is starting to look liveable now, so that's good.  Tonight we are assembling my new craft desk and the spare bed and hopefully fitting some curtain rails and lights in our bedroom.

Here is my Karber Digital card for the Karber blog this week...

Tee hee!  Isn't she cute?!  This is Vampire Costume Jenny and she would be perfect for Halloween, but unfortunately we don't celebrate Halloween, so I decided to use her for a "Fank you" card instead.  The paper is frommmm ummmm... Echo Park?  Maybe?   I crocheted the week flower and the seam binding is from The Ribbon Girl.  The label sticker is by October Afternoon (ooh did you see they have a new collection out now? Yummy!).

Here is a close up of Jenny:

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Shopping our stash #20: Thanksgiving or Thank You card
Papertake Weekly: Anything Goes

Think Pink at My Sheri Crafts - Another bookmark

Good evening!

It's been a looooong day for me and my hubby!  We got up early to look after guests on board the boat and then had the rest of the day off, but stupidly we decided to go to Ikea to get some bits and pieces we need for our new apartment.  You would not believe the crowds that were at Ikea in Athens today!!!  It was almost too difficult to walk around!  We had to abandon our trolley at one point just to get down an aisle to look at something and someone stole it!

Then my husband went to go outside to measure up the car to find out what would fit in it and he saw the queues at the checkout and people pushing and shoving and fighting and decided we should just make a run for it without buying anything!  So, it was a very disappointing day.  We went to Leroy Merlin after Ikea (which took twice as long as it should as we got lost on the way) and then to Kotsovolos where there was no-one manning the counters so we were not able to be served and had to abandon our purchases there too... Bah humbug I say.  My feet are killing me!  Why would I wear such uncomfortable wedges on a serious shopping day?!  Exhausted and cranky and not much ticked off my list... phooey balooey!

Anyway, on to my project for today... here's one I prepared earlier for my guest design spot at My Sheri Crafts today...  The theme for the challenge this week (challenge #70) at My Sheri Crafts is Think Pink in honour of Breast Cancer awareness month.

Yes, it's another bookmark!  Another one to tick off my Christmas list.  This wee cutie is a favourite of mine from Tiddly Inks.  Her name is Lilli Claire and the title of this image is Make a Wish.   Isn't she sweet?!  I have tried to colour her mostly with pinks (see copic details below) and I have added a shiny glimmer gloss to her wings (can't remember the name of the stuff).  The seam binding is from The Ribbon Girl, and I am not sure what brand the paper is.  I have added a button from Blooming Felt and a charm from Da Wanda.   I cut the circle with my Slice Elite and inked the edges with Distress Ink in Walnut.

I would like to enter this project into the following challenges:
Crafts 4 Eternity #39: Anything Goes
Crafty Catz Weekly Challenge #102: Things with Wings
Sew Many Cards: Anything Goes

Here are the copics I used:

Happy Saturday!
